University of Duhok and Institute of World Politics Sign Landmark Diplomacy Degree Partnership

The University of Duhok (UOD) and the Institute of World Politics (IWP) have formalized a significant academic collaboration with the signing of a contract to establish a joint degree program in diplomacy. This landmark event, marking a major step forward in international academic cooperation, took place today June 4, 2024 at the IWP premises in Washington, DC.

The ceremony featured opening remarks by the president of IWP, followed by a speech from Treefa Aziz, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) representative in the United States. Dr. Dawood Sulaiman Atrushi, President of UOD, delivered his remarks before proceeding with the official signing of the contract alongside the president of IWP. This partnership establishes a one-year study program at UOD's College of Political Science, offering students the opportunity to spend a semester at IWP or participate in online classes provided by IWP.

This new joint degree program enhances the academic and professional competencies of students in the field of diplomacy, preparing them for impactful careers in international relations.
