The organizers invite papers, panels and roundtables on all aspects of these topics.

Topics of interest include but are not restricted to:

  • Psychological disorders and treatment
  • Psychosocial support
  • Trauma genocide and other mass violence
  • Transitional justice and mass trauma
  • Prevention of collective violence
  • The politics of apology, reconciliation and restitution
  • Gender aspect from the point of view of the West and East
  • Trauma in children, treatment and education
  • Ethnic/religious minorities and trauma
  • Psychosocial support
  • Transgenerational transmission of Trauma

 Individuals, entities or groups of experts can propose either a panel or workshop paper on a topic of interest to the Congress or a full panel or workshop on one of the topics defined above. The application form invites you to provide an abstract of your contribution and to place it in one of eleven topic categories. Each topic can be addressed from the perspective of legal reform, scientific research, or validated practice. Applications must be received no later than 30th  April 2019 at strobel@dhbw-vs.de

 The length of each introductory speech should be a maximum of 20 minutes. Each panel/workshop will last 90 minutes. The Congress will be in: English.

Once the Organising Committee and Scientific Committee have considered the abstracts received; you will receive an answer and an invitation to participate in the Congress.
