A delegation from the University of Duhok, consisting of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Muhammad Shukri Shukur, and a teaching staff, Dr. Bassem Ali Askar, paid a visit to the University of Siirt in Turkey based on the invitation submitted by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the aforementioned university, Professor Dr. Muhammad Saglam, to attend the second national conference held by the college on 21-22 May 2024.

The Dean participated in the conference as a panelist and presented scientific research during the conference activities following a request from the organizing faculty. Additionally, he completed a number of important meetings, including his meeting with the President of the University of Siirt and the meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Both meetings aimed to strengthen relations between the two sides, finding ways of cooperation to serve the academic path and grounding to implement future mutual projects that serve The public interest.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Dean and his companied teaching staff paid a visit to the teaching Veterinary Hospital- Clinics- and the Artificial Insemination Center. It was clear that both places are built and equipped using advanced modern methods.

The next day, the delegation headed to the city of Diyarbakir for a quick visit to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at University of DICLE.

Dr. Shukr met with the president and the dean of the faculty and both sides stressed on the necessity of joint corporation to strengthen the relations between the two universities. The visit included a tour around the faculty, their developed laboratories and the clinics within the teaching veterinary hospital.
