In a beyond-compare seminar held by the University of Duhok collaboratively with Coventry University from the UK, deep insights on peace building and conflict studies were given to the attendees who were Ph.D. and Master students and other researchers specialized in peace field. This scientific activity took place at the UOD on Monday, February 5, 2024.

In this seminar, two experienced professors from Coventry University took part to give informative speeches to the attendees. Dr. Orley, and Dr. Dilan made their efforts to enrich the knowledge of the attendees on how to conduct purposeful research on peace, which sort of research is the most needed to be conducted, how to write the research, which aspects to be covered by research, and more.

The main idea behind this seminar was to close up to the society itself to identify its most dominant issues, then, develop and rise solutions based on the issues found through research and studies. The speakers alongside the researchers attended this seminar made fruitful discussions communicating their ideas on the issues in the society and their approaches to be solved. Thus, the attendees gained a wide prospect on how to foster peace building studies to higher levels.
