Delegation from US Consulate General Visits The University of Duhok

A delegation from the US Consulate General in Erbil, led by Doug Morrow, Public Affairs Officer, visited The University of Duhok (UOD) today to foster collaboration and explore joint projects and programs between UOD and the United States of America. Hosted by Dr. Dawood Sulaiman Atrushi, President of UOD, the delegation's visit underscores the strengthening ties between the University of Duhok and the United States of America in the realm of academia.

During a cordial gathering at the American Corner within UOD, attended by members of the Directorate of International Relations, Dr. Dawood Atrushi extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation. He provided insights into the university's ongoing projects and its extensive international engagements, highlighting its prominence as a regional leader in fostering global partnerships. Additionally, Dr. Ahmed Khairadeen Ali, Director of the Career Development Center (CDC), and Dileen Sardar Zuhdi, Director of the Gender Equality Studies Center (GESC), outlined various initiatives within their respective domains, emphasizing prospects for collaboration and coordination.

In response, the Public Affairs Officer commended the successful endeavors of UOD and acknowledged the institution's active role in promoting academic exchange. Expressing satisfaction with the existing collaboration, he affirmed the commitment of the American Mission to further enhance mutual cooperation.

Subsequently, the delegation engaged in discussions with volunteers involved in initiatives supported by the US consulate. The exchange encompassed a range of topics, underscoring the significance of their contributions, for which the delegates conveyed their gratitude.
