Objectives or Summary:

  • To study the impact of both bed and side slopes on the flow measurement in trapezoidal channels of free overfalls.
  • The experimental results of the study showed linear relationships for the end depth ratio for different bed slopes.
  • An empirical expression is obtained for variation of dimension-less discharge with side slopes and main bed slope.
