In solidarity with the global campaign "16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence," an awareness-raising seminar held at Dilshad Palace on December 3rd, 2023. Organized in collaboration with the KRG High Council for Women and Development (HCWD), the event unfolded over three panels, each illuminating a crucial aspect of addressing gender-based violence.

The first panel delved into the role of the government in combating this critical issue, while the second panel focused on the vital contributions of civil society organizations in raising awareness and providing support.

Ms. Dileen Sardar, Director of the Center for Gender Equality Studies, UoD, took center stage in the third panel, sharing the profound and often harrowing experiences of GBV survivors. Her powerful presentation served as a stark reminder of the human cost of gender-based violence and the urgency of collective action. This impactful seminar in Dohuk served as a testament to the unwavering commitment to creating a safer and more equitable future for all.
