On 20th April 2019 and at Erbil International Hotel, Dr. Jotyar Sedeeq, the director of the Center, delivered a two-hour presentation on the University of Duhok’s experience in establishing peace centers and carrying out projects related to teaching and training on peacebuilding issues. The steps that are to be taken by Iraqi universities in launching such projects, building the capacities of the university’s staff in this regard and building relationships between universities and international organizations were covered by the presentation. The presentation has been delivered to 10 of University of Anbar’s professors, who participated in a workshop entitled “Supporting Youth to Become Leaders for Peace”, organized by New York University Peace Research and Education Program and funded by IREX.
