The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences/ University of Duhok is hosting a national workshop entitled:

"Workshop for value chain actors (factory management, farmers, retailers, etc) on potato development in Iraq"

Between Sunday, March 07th, and March 08th, 2024.

Starting Time from 9:30 AM  (Local Duhok Time).

The workshop will be held at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences/ University of Duhok.

Justification :

A Workshop for value chain actors (factory management, farmers, retailers, etc) on agriculture development in Iraq, the importance of the potato crop, and the potato value chain in the frame of the Potato Value Chain Development in Kurdistan region- Iraq project.

Objectives:

The target of 700 actors from factory management, farmers, wholesalers, and retailers is to bring value chain actors together for further development, communication, and capacity building.

• Those farmers and retailers that are important to the potato processing factory will be invited in addition to the factory management. As this capacity building event will regularly take place for approx. 40 persons, this awareness-raising event will be announced to new farmers, and new actors in the value chain who need to know more about the quality and importance of locally grown and processed potato products.
