Seminar: Seed Productivity of Natural Vegetation at UoD Campus as Affected by Mowing Frequency

Summary:

1- To determine the effect of different Mowing Frequencies (simulating the grazing) on seed productivity of natural vegetation cover, and also,

2- To determine which groups of species (grasses, legumes and other species) is more affected by mowing frequencies compared to unmown patches, finally,

3- The overriding goal of this research is to determine the utilization of rangeland vegetation cover at maximum value in view of animal feeding and to increase the soil seed bank of our pastures at the same time
