On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences of the University of Duhok, organized the fifteenth scout camp for the students of the first stage, in the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, in the presence of the President of the University of Duhok, the Deputy Governor of Duhok, the District Surrogate of Duhok, the representative of Duhok Governorate Police General Directorate and the representative of the Traffic General Directorate of Duhok Governorate and the Director General of Sports and Youth in Duhok, in addition to the deans of the colleges of the University of Duhok. The camping includes 9 groups of students distributed on 9 camps.

The scout camp is organized on an annual basis, to practically practice what the students have learnt at the college classes as part of the practical part. The camp is set at the area surrounding the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences. The camp commenced with an exhibition for the hand crafts made by the students including chairs, tables, stairs and etc., all made with natural materials such as wood and ropes. After that, the institutions representatives attended this event were honored by the College of Physical Education.

This camping lasted for 4 days and 3 nights. There were daily activities such as sport games and daily duties during the day and entertainment parties at night. At the last day of the camp, the students went on a trip outside the city as a complement of this camping activity. At the end of the camp, certificates were distributed to the participating students. This activity is considered one of the attractive activities for the students as it enhances the innovative abilities of them at facing challenges outdoors, as well as improving their physical abilities.

It is worth mentioning that the supervisor teachers of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences in this camp have their preparations done with the students during 1 month before the camp date. 95 students participated in the scout camp, that all lived this unique experience as unforgettable days of their lives.
