The UoD President participated in an Exhibition in the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences

Department of Horticulture in the College of Agricultural Engineering held an exhibition for the planting of seedlings and trees, decoration plants and plant production related books and posters as well as Kurdish Cuisine. The exhibition was attended by Dr. Dawood Sulaiman Atrushi, the UoD President, who expressed his deep appreciation to the efforts paid by the students and the academic staff of the department, and Dr. Abid Ali Hassan, Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences as well as the Heads of other departments.

After opening the exhibition, Dr. Atrushi explained that: “Historically, our region is known for its agricultural nature and its civilization has been mainly based on agriculture. Hence, we show an utmost support for the activities of the College of Agriculture hoping that it will enhance our needs as well as the needs of surrounding regions.”

Dr. Fafail Toma, Head of the Department of Horticulture, explained that: “this exhibition is a follow up to an earlier workshop titled “The Development of Horticulture” that was held yesterday and included a number of seminars and other activities.”
