About the Department
The department of Drama was established in 2008. This department submits its students to study for four years to gain Bachelor degree. The students of this department are provided with the necessary skills and experience required in their future career. The course of undergraduate study is rigorous and comprehensive, preparing students for the future professional or academic activities in the field they have specialized in. The department includes lectures that impart an overall knowledge of the basic principles and essential details regarding the field of specialty. Along with their own specialty subjects, the students must study; basic of computer and the Kurdish language.
The department is concerned with introducing students to the various steps of development in Theater. The curricula goes in depth providing students with knowledge and experience to be able to master and control these curricula helping them become experts in their specialty. The academic year begins in mid-September, and concludes by the end of June. During the four-year course, students must sit seasonal exams and final test in every class. The department provides opportunities for students in multi-disciplinary research and study, based on major disciplines to broaden their understanding of production.
Theater is a discipline of creativity. The Department of Drama offers undergraduate students a comprehensive academic program that provides a blend of theoretical and practical courses supplied by rigorous academics, who providie students with the skills of possibilities to explore and gain professional knowledge in Theater.
