With the aim of building and strengthening the capacity of the community members, particularly the university students and youth from different backgrounds, as peacebuilders in the community and able to implement social cohesion initiatives and contribute to promoting the social cohesion, the University of Duhok Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies conducted the third workshop on “Community Conflict Management”. The workshop conducted at the Students Center of the University of Duhok on 21st to 23th August 2022.
20 students and youth from different backgrounds have participated in the workshop, of them (14 Muslim, 2 Yazidi and 4 Christian/16 from the host community, 3 IDPs and 1refugee). Mr. Khidher Domle has facilitated the workshop.
The workshop is one of the center activities within the project of “Building Inclusive Communities in Iraq-Rebuilding Trust”, which is being implemented with fund from the Church of Sweden, and in partnership with the Lutheran World Federation-LWF Iraq and Baghdad Women’s Association.
