On October 31, 2023, the College of City and Regional Planning hosted an interesting seminar on "Modern Irrigation Systems to Reduce The Water Crisis in KRG and Iraq". A seminar was presented by Dr. Jian Hassanpour, a lecturer at the Department of Spatial Planning.

During the seminar, Dr. Jian discussed the problems with our current irrigation system, supported by data and statistics. He also explored ways to make better use of water resources and find solutions to improve irrigation efficiency and conserve water.
