College of City and Regional Planning
On February 13th, 2024, students of the College of City and Regional Planning, from both departments of Spatial Planning and City Planning, visited the Zawa Mountains on a field trip organized by the Yak Dar Organization. This trip was guided by Dr. Lida and Mr. Vajin, and Ms. Gardenia. The main goal of this outing was to give students a practical experience of planting trees. This hands-on activity aimed to teach students about the importance of environmental planning in urban and rural areas.
By participating in tree planting, students learned first-hand how planning and caring for the environment are essential for sustainable development. This experience was designed to make them more aware of the role they can play in protecting and enhancing natural spaces, especially as future planners. The trip to the Zawa Mountains was not only educational but also an opportunity for students to contribute positively to the environment by planting new trees under expert supervision.
