Objectives or Summary:

This scientific published paper was conducted to investigate the complete chloroplast (plastome) genome

of Salvia multicaulis for the first time in Iraq and surrounding countries. In current study, the S.

multicaulis Vahl. is sequenced using Next Generation Sequencing Techniques to help us to understand

the complete chloroplast genome structure, composition, and to reconstruct the phylogenetic tree to

clarify the evolutionary relationships among Salvia species.
