The first joint international conference entitled "The Reality of National Legislation in Confronting Contemporary Challenges, Kurdistan Region Iraq as a Model," was held on 6-7 March 2024 under the slogan "Modernizing the Legislative System in the Kurdistan Region." Organized by the three law colleges at the universities of Duhok, Salahaddin, and Sulaimani, the event took place at the Convention Center of the University of Duhok. The conference, lasted for two days, featured 46 papers presented across 12 panels. It is being attended by Kurdish and Iraqi researchers, as well as researchers from different Arab Countries. The aim of the conference was to discuss various issues related to the national laws in this era with the goal of modernizing the legislative system in the Kurdistan Region.
