The opening ceremony of the first joint international conference entitled "The Reality of National Legislation in Confronting Contemporary Challenges, Kurdistan Region Iraq as a Model," is currently being held under the slogan "Modernizing the Legislative System in the Kurdistan Region." Organized by the three law colleges at the universities of Duhok, Salahaddin, and Sulaimani, the event is taking place at the Convention Center of the University of Duhok. The conference, spanning two days, features 46 papers presented across 12 panels. It is being attended by Kurdish and Iraqi researchers, as well as researchers from 10 Arab and European countries. The aim of the conference is to discuss various issues related to the culture of national laws in this era with the goal of modernizing the legislative system in the Kurdistan Region.
