First Monthly Meeting for Community Consultation and Dialogue

As one of its activities within “Area Based Recovery Approach Project in Musireek”, a joint project Goal Global and supported by UNDP’s Iraq Crisis Response and Resilience Programme (ICRRP) with funding from the Government of Japan, the Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies has facilitated a one-day monthly meeting for community consultation and dialogue on 21 January 2019 at UoD Cultural Center. The meeting attended by 39 people (28 HC, 10 IDPs, and 1 refugee) including members of GOAL’s Coordination Committee and Local Advisory Group, two members of  BURHA, one QANDIL staff, one  Mukhtar from Misureek and members of Musireek’s community This meeting aimed at better Musireek’s community engagement in the community initiatives that organized to be conduct by UoD’s volunteers through holding open discussion and dialogue. Several topics were discussed in this meeting such as, presenting volunteers’ monthly action of plan, presenting volunteers’’ ideas regarding the initiatives they design to conduct in Musireek.
