Course Specialties

 

  • The Master of Spatial Planning puts theory into practice via our suite of workshops. Workshops emphasize the importance of the planning cycle through analysis, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation application of presentation and group facility techniques.
  • You will undertake a range of history/development and theory subjects along with two planning workshops where you develop your practical, creative skills to apply to real-life spatial planning challenges.
  • The program covers:
  1. Planning tools and techniques
  2. Planning approaches
  3. Theories and concepts of Spatial Planning
  4. Research methods
  5. Socio-economic development
  • Students must complete:
  1. 120 credit points; approximately 30 credit points per semester
  2. All course and module examinations of the program will be administered in English
  • After the successful completion of the master’s program, the University of Duhok through the College of Spatial Planning awards the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Spatial Planning.
