Title of Workshop: Prototyping: From an idea to the presentation prototype

Place of the event: Meeting Hall of ECE Dept.

Justification:

The main goal of any professional engineer is to express the idea (missing gaps) into a working equipment. Before this equipment is been published to the general audience, it usually undergoes the process of prototyping. Prototyping demands a high level of scientific knowledge and technical skills in order to alter a simple set of phenomena into a working device.

In this workshop the concept of prototyping is to be introduced and discussed followed by a set of sessions to explore powerful tools used to simulate the phenomena in shape of devices and equipment.

Objectives:

  1. Describe Prototyping process to the general and professional audience
  2. Explore physics simulation software that can be implemented as first step in prototyping.
  3. Introduce LabView as a physical programming language to be an alternative to build physical parts.
  4. Introduce XILINX SYSTEM GENERATOR software as an example of the electrical engineering-oriented designing facility.
