On Sunday December 24th, 2017, a group of nanotechnologist from UoD including (Dr. Khedir R Khedir, Dr. Mohammed A Ibrahim, Dr. Zubayda S. Saifaldeen, Mr. Mohammed Hussein) participated in the Kurdistan’s First Nanotechnology Workshop held at Ishik University in Erbil. The workshop was organised collaboratively by both University of Ishik and University of Salahaddin. It was held as an initiative to gather all nanotechnology scientists here in Kurdistan Region, and as an opportunity to establish active communication and be aware of each other research interests and available facilities for future potential collaborations. Dr. Khedir R. Khedir was one of the speakers of the workshop representing UoD. The rest of the team also actively engaged in discussions about the future of nanotechnology in the Kurdistan Region. Recommendations were made for the necessary steps to be taken for more active and world-class research related to Nanotechnology.
