The University of Duhok is committed to enabling students to continue their education and has implemented a program for assisting students with special financial needs.

The University of Duhok is affiliated with the Council of Higher Education and Scientific Research and is supported mainly by the Kurdistan Regional Government.

The annual budget is allocated by the government to establish laboratories and provide essential equipment, tools, books, publications and to build facilities for undergraduate and graduate courses.

Funding is also allocated for scholarships for graduate studies. Student housing is available for those who do not live in Duhok. All students are eligible for financial assistance; students who live outside Duhok are given 50000 Iraqi dinars while those who live in Duhok are given 30,000 Iraqi dinars per month.

Students requesting assistance must ensure that all of the proper forms and documents are submitted by the stated deadline.
