DR. ZAHRA ALI FATTAH VISITED THE UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW – UK UNDER THE ERASMUS+ ICM PROGRAM

Dr. Zahra Ali Fattah, Lecturer at the College of Science, University of Duhok, visited the School of Chemistry at the University of Glasgow on the 12th of July 2019 under the ERASMUS+ ICM Project which has been signed between University of Duhok and Glasgow University in Scotland-UK.

 

The program aimed to start research collaboration between the staff member of Duhok University and the host professors at the University of Glasgow. In this frame Dr. Zahra Ali Fattah met Dr. Mark Symes, a senior Lecturer in the School of Chemistry, and they discussed their research interest and a plan for future collaboration starting from the process of Electrocatalytic Water Splitting. The visit lasted for one week, during this period Dr. Zahra A. Fattah performed several experiments that related to electrochemical techniques, in addition, on the 17th July she gave a presentation including her research work and interest in the field of electrochemistry and all the group members attended the talk. It is worth mentioning that eight academic staff members from different colleges of the Duhok University were awarded this scholarship to visit Glasgow University. This program will develop the experience of the participants and extend their research area, which would add a positive value for starting research collaboration between both universities.
