Welcome message from the Dean:

On behalf of the college, the academic staff and the administration of the College of Dentistry at Duhok University, I extend to you a warm and sincere welcome to the college.

The college founded in 2009 and it is objective is to graduate dentists with solid, theoretical and clinical experience. The college opened as part of the college of medicine with a curriculum of five years study similar to the most respectable colleges in the world. Teaching staff consist of 25 academic staff members and 30 administrative staff members.  Each year more than 80 students are admitted to the college. The total number of students consists of approximately 300 students. Up to now more than 120 students have been graduated from the starting of the college, and 8 MSc. Students has been graduated from our college. For the new academic year the college opened 21 seats of MSc. and 4 seats of PhD.

One of our goals is to provide an educational program that will make you a lifetime learner, while empowering college students to understand and meet the evolving health needs of our society. We are planning to create an academic environment in which dental education, research and patient oral health care occur concurrently and each one updates and advances the other. It is our obligation to put science into dental practice in an innovative conduct, we are proud to say that the college is developing well, both in academic, research as well as non-academic achievements. We are lucky to have our strongest assets, enthusiastic lecturers and staffs who are willing to adapt, learn and strive for the best and the betterment of the college as well as the wellbeing of the students. We are committed to becoming the model dental college, dedicated to improving the health of the people of Duhok city and its surrounding areas. We are working together with the university administration to furnish them with the latest technology equipments to have the modern research laboratories, clinics and lecture rooms. We have designed it of the best facilities to ensure that we are competent to face critical challenges in providing the finest dental education, research and oral health services.

I would like to welcome all visitors to browse through our website and personally visit to our college.
