The study presented the variables affecting the unemployment rate in Duhok governorate. It showed the impact of domestic investment, foreign investment, total investment and population growth rate in the unemployment rate during the years (2007-2016), using data for domestic and foreign investment in eight financial and economic sectors in modern standardized methods. The aim of the study was to determine the role and impact of total investment in both types and population growth rate in addressing the unemployment problem. To see if the study variables were stable over time, we used the (Augmented Dickey-Fuller) test. In addition, to demonstrate a long-term equilibrium relationship between the variables, we used the Johansson test, to co-integrate, and we applied the (Granger Causality Test) to determine causation between the variables.
