The President of the University of Duhok, Prof. Mosleh Duhoky participated in the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil reception to celebrate the upcoming 240th Anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America. He met in the reception which is held in advance on Thursday June 2nd with the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Stuart Jones, and the U.S. Consul General in Erbil Mr. Matthias J. Mitman and they discussed different issues.

The American people celebrate annually the 4th of July for signing the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America, which indeed an important historical landmark not only for American people , but the people of the world over. It marked the start of the systematic strive for liberty and freedom of mankind as enshrined in the declaration of independence and the US constitution.
