On 25 and 26 October 2018 UNIMED – Mediterranean Universities Union is organizing its General Assembly in partnership with the UfM Secretariat and Anna Lindh Foundation. The General Assembly is hosted by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice celebrating its 150 the anniversary.
Prof. Mosleh Duhoky the President of the University of Duhok, participated at the event at the University of Duhok is an active member in the UNIMED. Prof. gave a presentation in the event which is entitled “Challenges with Refugees & IDPs at Kurdistan Region and Iraq Federal Governments”
The UNIMED General Assembly represents a yearly event, where rectors, presidents and their representatives meet to exchange views and to determine policy for UNIMED, setting the stage for a full and rich year of initiatives, activities and conferences around the Mediterranean. This year’s edition is dedicated to the role that Universities should play in “Shaping the Mediterranean: From Cooperation to Integration”. The UNIMED General Assembly is also an opportunity for the associates to participate to in-depth workshops and short training on topics such as e-Learning and Open Education, Sustainable mobility in the Mediterranean, EU Programs for Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation, Cooperation between Euro-Mediterranean Universities and Asia, and Higher Education in Crisis Situation.
